Conferences / Destination Management

  • National Transportation Week, for whom we managed all aspects of the their May 28, 2003, “Transportation: Competing in the World Economy” conference.

  • Canadian Petroleum Landmen Association for whom we are managing their member activities day during their Silver Anniversary conference in September of 2003.

  • The Mining Association of Canada… for whom we are managed all aspects of their November 28, 2002, "Energy Efficiency" conference.

  • Alberta Human Resources and Employment… for whom we developed and implemented Career Craze 2001 Conference for Alberta youth ages 18-24. This event was named one of three national finalists by the Canadian Event Industry Awards for the "Best Conference" award.

  • Alberta Human Resources and Employment and Human Resources Development Canada… for whom we developed and managed the Canada Career Week Edmonton Region “Career and Employment Fair” and “Human Resources Professional Keynote Speaker Sessions” in 2001. We were re-contracted to manage the 2002 and 2003 Canada Career Week Fair. The 2002 Canada Career Week Fair won an Alberta Government Premier's Award of Excellence.

  • 2000 International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO)… provided destination management services for the conference planner located in Chicago. Recommended and implemented local tour options including registration and transportation for conference attendees. Conceived and implemented overall conference décor, spanning 3 separate events in different venues. Managed opening reception (attracted 800+ delegates) and the Presidents dinner (private function). Managed special event transportation of 1000 persons on behalf of local host committee.

  • Alberta Personnel Administration Office… managed the 1997 and 1999 conferences.

  • Alberta Women's Enterprise Initiative Pan-Western Canadian Conference… managed the 1998 conference which attracted 300 delegates from across western Canada.

  • Conference Board of Canada… managed the Promotions and Marketing committee and the Sponsorship committee for the 8 th Annual International Conference in Calgary. The Sponsorship Committee raised over $200,000.

  • Thinking for A Change… managed the 1999, 8 th International Conference on Thinking, a conference that attracted 1,000 delegates to the City of Edmonton in July 1999 from over 23 countries worldwide and featured over 206 speakers.
